Overview

AAM Endowment Grant Program

Purpose: Provides financial assistance for projects or programs supporting the mission of AAM: to "elevate, stimulate, and support music and the allied arts in the liturgy of the Episcopal Church and throughout the Anglican Communion."

Geographic Scope: Episcopal Church and Anglican Communion

Eligibility:

  • AAM membership NOT required, but all proposals must support AAM's mission

  • Applications for sole benefit of other denominations will NOT be considered

  • Only projects with discernible benefit beyond local parish or church community will be considered
  • What Will NOT Be Funded:

  • Ongoing operating expenses

  • Staff singers or instrumentalists

  • Sheet music purchases

  • Instrument purchase or maintenance
  • What WILL Be Funded:

  • Projects with long-term or lasting benefits

  • Community-wide or broader musical initiatives

  • Commissioning new works

  • Music education programs

  • Choral programs and training

  • Conferences and workshops

  • Broadcast and media projects
  • Award Details:

  • Grant amounts vary year to year

  • Typical range: $500 - $2,000

  • Written report required upon project completion

  • Check mailed directly to applicant's sponsoring agency

  • May 1: James Litton Grant for Choral Training

  • September 1: General Grant Applications

  • November 1: Raymond Glover Grant for Episcopal Liturgical Music
