Overview

OUR HISTORY The idea for A Million Matters originated on a Sunday morning in 1996. Following a benefit ball the night before, our Founders decided to raise money outside the traditional fundraising efforts. Our Founders would ask like-minded women to contribute $1,000 each year to the organization which would be deployed into the Atlanta Community via a grant of $100,000 annually to a single charitable organization. The recipient would be selected based on its specific grant request and the charitable organization's ability to extend the grant in a transformational way to the community it serves. A Million Matters was officially launched in 1997 and since that time, the organization has given more than $2.8 MM to the Atlanta Community. A Million Matters was the brainchild of a few dedicated women whose vision and determination helped create an organization that has contributed significantly to the community in a very targeted and direct way. A Million Matters looks forward to continuing to serve the needs of non-profit organizations in our community. A Million Matters Grants Thank you for your interest in A Million Matters.
