2026 Scholarships

Funder: Visiting Nurses Foundation (WA, US)

Geographic Scope: Washington State (local Lewis County area students)

Purpose: Support the future of home health and hospice care by awarding scholarships to students pursuing related fields of study.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Presently enrolled, or have applied or intend to apply for enrollment in courses of study related to:

    • - Home health and hospice care
    - Comfort therapy
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher

  • Seeking a field that aligns with the mission of the Visiting Nurses Foundation

  • Scholarships for nursing and healthcare-related education aligned with home health, hospice care, and comfort therapy

    • Important Notes:

  • Application for scholarship does not guarantee an award

  • Scholarship Committee reviews applications and determines number of recipients and award amounts

    Application Requirements

    Required Materials:
    1. Complete application form
    2. Activity or Service essay
    3. Record of school transcripts
    4. Proof of enrollment or application for enrollment in a healthcare-related program of study
    5. Letter of recommendation

    Submission Process:
    1. Complete all required materials
    2. Submit completed applications to Jacki Jewell at jacki.jewell@visitingnursesfoundation.org

    Review Process:

  • All complete applications will be reviewed by the Foundation office and the VNF Scholarship Committee

  • Committee determines the number of scholarship recipients and amounts of scholarship awards
