Overview

2026-27 Student Trauma Notification (TN) Program

The purpose of the Program is to create school district notification systems designed to decrease the negative impacts on children who are exposed to violence and trauma by improving communication and collaboration between first responders, schools, and community resources.

Applicants must be a California School District or County Office of Education. For an organization to be able to submit a proposal and/or eligible to compete for funding (i.e. read and rated) they must meet the following requirements: • Have a Unique Entity Identifier (UEI) registered in the federal System for Award Management (SAM). Applicants who do not currently have a UEI will need to register at SAM.gov to obtain one. Applicants without an UEI will be unable to submit a proposal in GCS.
