Wisconsin Garden Club Federation Myrtle B. Ogilvie Scholarship Background: Myrtle B. Ogilvie lived a very active 89 years. She was a 1942 graduate of Marathon HighSchool and a 1946 graduate of the University of Wisconsin – Madison, with a degree in Home Economics. From 1946 to 1950, Myrtle worked as the Outagamie County Home Demonstration Agent. One of Myrtle’s greatest joys was her involvement in the Wisconsin Garden Club Federation (WGCF), which is a charter member of National Garden Clubs, Inc. Her affiliation with WGCF made it possible for her to be a member of the Paper Valley Garden Club where she held all of the different chairs over the years and was also a nationally accredited Master Flower Show Judge. She was a Garden Consultant, Landscape Consultant, District Director, nationally accredited Gladiolus Council Judge, Master Gardener, 4-H leader, and a member of the Advisory Committee at the Memorial Park Arboretum. Myrtle was instrumental in the establishment of college scholarships supported by Wisconsin Garden Club Federation. Award Amount: One $1,500 non-renewable scholarship award for tuition expenses, payable in the fall semester. Loss of Eligibility: Failure to register as full-time student with an acceptable major at a 2- or 4-year Wisconsin college, university or technical school.Eligibility
