Ohio Historical Markers Grant Program The William G. Pomeroy Foundation proudly partnered with Ohio History Connection in 2014 to provide historical marker grants in the Buckeye State. Markers in this program commemorate historic people, places, things or events of Ohio’s past between the years 1800-1900.

Eligibility

Pomeroy Foundation grants for Ohio historical markers are open to all municipalities, nonprofit academic institutions and 501(c)(3) organizations in Ohio.There are 10 marker grants available to qualifying applicants in the following counties: Ashland, Ashtabula, Cuyahoga, Erie, Geauga, Huron, Lake, Lorain, Mahoning, Medina, Meigs, Ottawa, Portage, Sandusky, Seneca, Summit, Trumbull, and Wayne.An additional 10 marker grants are available to qualifying applicants across all other Ohio counties.
