Overview
Teacher Grant
Funder: Great Lakes Bay Manufacturers' Association (GLBMA)
Purpose: Provide funding for educational projects that align with GLBMA's mission to educate local youth about manufacturing and the region's industrial history
Geographic Scope: Michigan counties including Arenac, Bay, Iosco, Midland, Saginaw, and Tuscola
- Must be a teacher at a public, private, parochial, charter, or home school association/group
- School must be located in one of the six eligible Michigan counties
Eligibility Requirements
- Maximum Award: Up to $500 per grant
- Frequency: Multiple grants may be awarded during each grant cycle
- Limitation: One award per teacher/project
Award Details
- Busing and transportation
- Guest speakers
- Off-site event lunches (e.g., Chamber or EDA luncheons with manufacturing/skilled trades focus)
- Field trips
- Equipment or materials not available through traditional funding that encourage or strengthen skilled trades education
