Program Focus: Support for underrepresented artists with financial need in the SJSU Animation Program

Background

Since 2023, the Titmouse Foundation has partnered with San Jose State University's Animation & Illustration Program to provide renewable scholarships to support underrepresented artists pursuing higher education in animation.

Award Details

• Amount: Up to $8,000 per year
• Duration: Maximum 4 years (renewable)
• Additional Benefits: Access to a mentor with experience in the animation industry

Eligibility Requirements

• Must have completed their first year in the SJSU Animation Program
• Underrepresented artist status
• Demonstrated financial need

• 2025: Victoria Dray (2nd year student, aspiring 2D animator)
• 2024: Catherine Ngo (production management focus)
• Inaugural (2023): Sara Kubo, Janess Dagdagan
