Sigma Foundation for Nursing/HPNF End-of-Life Nursing Care Research Grant

Program Background: In 2004, Sigma Foundation for Nursing and the Hospice and Palliative Nurses Foundation partnered to offer an annual research grant with the goal of encouraging qualified nurse contributions to the advancement of nursing care through research.

Eligibility Requirements

Principal Investigator must:

  • Be a registered nurse with current license

  • Hold a master's or doctoral degree OR be enrolled in a doctoral program

  • Submit a completed research application via online submission system

  • Have a project that is ready for implementation when funding is received

  • Be able to complete project within one (1) year of funding

  • Sign a Research Grant Agreement

  • Submit final report to Sigma and submit completed abstract to the Sigma Repository to receive final grant disbursement, if owed

  • Credit research grant partners in all publications and presentations
  • Preference: Will be given to Sigma and/or Hospice and Palliative Nurses Foundation End of Life Nursing Care members, other qualifications being equal
