Overview

SPFT Restorative Practices Cohort

Overview: Year-long professional development cohort in restorative practices for educator and community members. During the 2017-2018 school year, SPFT supported 15 educator/community members in a cohort focused on restorative practices training.

Geographic Scope: Saint Paul, Minnesota (East Side Freedom Library)

Focus Areas:

  • Leadership capacity building

  • Community engagement and school-wide implementation

  • Circle processes
  • Eligibility:

  • Educators and community members

  • Must be able to commit to ALL 10 days of training - this is a strict requirement
  • Key Features:

  • 10-day training series

  • Monthly Saturday convenings at East Side Freedom Library

  • Two additional full days in June

  • Participants must hold circles throughout the year to practice and apply learning

  • Each cohort member must offer 4 hours of free professional development to Saint Paul Public Schools community (Summer 2018-June 2019)

  • Significant funding support from National Education Association and Great Public Schools grant
  • Cost: $250 per participant

  • Saturday, March 3rd

  • Saturday, April 14th

  • Saturday, May 19th
