Robert VanBenschoten Memorial Scholarship
Award Amount: Three (3) scholarships of $1,000 each
Overview: Scholarship awarded annually in memory of former Director Robert VanBenschoten, who began his career in Region 4 and eventually became Director of the Division of Law Enforcement in 1976. Scholarships are awarded to family members of active NYCOA members pursuing careers in Law Enforcement or Natural Resources.
Eligibility (in order of preference):
1. Family members of active NYCOA members pursuing a career in Law Enforcement or Natural Resources 2. Active member's child or grandchild 3. Non-member with preference given to applicants pursuing a career in Law Enforcement or Natural Resources- Three (3) scholarships awarded annually
- $1,000 per scholarship
- For pursuit of career in Law Enforcement or Natural Resources
Award Details:
- June 30th of each year
- Awards are processed and issued in time for the upcoming school year
