Overview: The Richard John Neuhaus Fellowship on American Flourishing explores the Judeo-Christian tradition and its role in shaping public policy and the mediating institutions of civil society. The program examines Fr. Neuhaus's enduring legacy, its connection to current debates over cultural and social issues, and bridges principle and practice by considering policies that contribute to the nation's social, cultural, and economic flourishing.

Program Duration: September through June (9-month program)

  • 12 Tuesday evening seminars

  • Weekend retreat

  • Reception with program alumni

  • Constitutional governance

  • Education policy

  • Family policy

  • Economics

  • Technology

  • Bioethics

  • And other areas in public life
  • Faculty: Taught by leading academics, policymakers, and journalists

    Ideal Candidates:

  • First-rate, highly committed and driven young and mid-career professionals

  • 2–8 years of professional experience required

  • Must have full-time employment

  • Must be able to attend in-person programming in Washington, D.C.

  • Working in government, journalism, think tanks, or other policy-relevant institutions

  • Professional interest in the economic prosperity and cultural life of the United States
