Overview

Professional Development Impact Grant

Purpose: To fund professional development opportunities that improve teacher effectiveness.

Eligibility:

  • Only CHCCS school principals may request funds

  • CHCCS district administrators may submit requests after communicating with PSF staff (for professional development for teachers who report to them)
  • Award Amount: Maximum $2,500 per school per year

    Funding Uses:

  • Substitute teachers (to allow teachers/staff to attend professional development)

  • Curriculum development

  • On-site training and speakers

  • Observation or master teachers

  • Conference and workshop costs (registration fees, travel expenses)
  • Requirements: Applications must identify professional development endeavors intended to improve teacher effectiveness

    Geographic Scope: Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools (CHCCS), North Carolina

    Application Deadlines: September 30, December 15, and April 30 (three cycles per year)
