Funder: Texas Dance Hall Preservation Inc (TDHP)

Eligible Applicants
- Building repairs (roofs, dance floors, and other critical items)

- Restoration or renovation of historic Texas dance halls
- Work not yet completed (completed work is ineligible)
Eligible Projects
- Must have historically hosted community dances
- Must be largely intact
- Must feature a dedicated dance floor and stage
- May include a bar or kitchen, but primary function must have been as a dance or community hall—not a restaurant or bar
- May be freestanding or part of larger buildings
Building Eligibility Requirements
- Work must begin within three months of grant award
- Work must be completed within 12 months
- Final report required with in-progress photographs, invoices, and proof of payment

Application Process
1. Membership Requirement: Join TDHP before applying

- Historic photos, before-damage photos, etc. to document the problem
- Evidence of matching funds or commitment letter
4. Application Tips:

- Provide clear photographic evidence of damage
- Include historical context and photos
- Ensure work has not already been completed
- Seek advice on historically appropriate repairs
5. Post-Award Requirements:
- Submit final report upon project completion

- Submit invoices for work completed
- Provide proof of payment
