OPAS College Performing Arts Scholarship

Overview: The Oconee Performing Arts Society offers college performing arts scholarships to support talented students pursuing higher education in the performing arts.

Geographic Scope: Greene County and surrounding areas in Georgia

Eligibility:

  • High school seniors pursuing performing arts degrees

  • Current college students in any year of study pursuing performing arts degrees

  • Students demonstrating exceptional talent and commitment in music, theater, dance, or related performing arts disciplines

  • As of 2023, scholarship expanded to support students beyond freshman year

  • Exception: Merit scholarship available to well-rounded students not pursuing performing arts majors (demonstrated by Jewell Morrison, first non-performing arts major recipient in 2025-2026)
