More Than You Think Scholarships

Overview: Scholarships established by OCCK, Inc. in commemoration of their 50th anniversary in 2020 to recognize and honor students with disabilities in North Central Kansas pursuing post-secondary education.

Geographic Scope: North Central Kansas counties only: Cloud, Dickinson, Ellsworth, Jewell, Lincoln, Mitchell, Ottawa, Republic, or Saline County, Kansas

Focus Areas: Post-secondary education for individuals with disabilities

Eligibility Requirements

  • Be a permanent resident or citizen of the United States
  • Be a person with a disability from one of the eligible counties (Cloud, Dickinson, Ellsworth, Jewell, Lincoln, Mitchell, Ottawa, Republic, or Saline County, Kansas)
  • Disability Definition: Per the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), a physical or mental impairment that substantially limits one or more major life activities, a person who has a history or record of such an impairment, or a person who is perceived by others as having such an impairment
  • Have plans to enroll in post-secondary learning opportunity (college, university, community college, vocational school, cosmetology school, or any credentialed program)
  • OCCK Employees are NOT eligible for this scholarship

Payment Information

  • Scholarship payments are made directly to the college, university, technical school, or other institution where the applicant has been accepted
  • Scholarships may be partially or fully taxable — applicants should consult their tax advisor
  • Awarded applicants must submit a photograph of themselves
