Overview

Michael W. Carver Sr. Memorial Scholarship

Award Amount: Five (5) scholarships of $1,000.00 each

Geographic Scope: Teamsters Local 135 (Indiana)

Eligibility:

  • Active member of Teamsters Local 135, OR spouse of active member, OR legal dependent of active member

  • Active member must have paid Union dues to Local 135 for a minimum of 12 consecutive months prior to application deadline (up to 6 months on withdrawal may count toward the 12 consecutive months)

  • Applicant must be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university for the fall semester

  • Student must not have previously received a Local 135 scholarship from any prior drawing

  • No student is eligible if the member or any family member has already been awarded a Local 135 scholarship
  • Application Timeline: Applications available approximately late July through September 5

    Award Process: Five (5) applicants are drawn on September 13, and applications are processed for eligibility verification prior to issuing scholarships
