Michael Purcell Memorial Scholarship

Geographic Scope: Valley Central High School and Washingtonville High School

Award Amount: $500.00 ($250 per student)

Purpose: The Michael Purcell Memorial Scholarship Fund was created by colleagues of Washingtonville teacher Mike Purcell who passed away after a courageous battle with cancer.

Eligibility:

  • Graduating seniors at Valley Central High School or Washingtonville High School

  • Ranked 9th in the graduating class

  • In good academic standing

  • Plan to pursue higher education
  • Administrator: Community Foundation of Orange and Sullivan, 501(c)(3) public charity
