Purpose: Recognition by peers for significant contributions to the municipal clerk profession at local, state, and national levels. This prestigious honor acknowledges clerks who have dedicated their careers to excellence and have generously given back to their colleagues and communities.

Geographic Scope: Wisconsin

Award Details:

Honors Wisconsin Municipal Clerks who have served their communities in an exemplary manner

Recognition for sustained service over an extended period of time

Award presented annually at the WMCA Annual Conference in August

Recognizes the "silent public servant" whose contributions often exceed those of elected governing body members due to longer tenure

Eligibility

• WMCA membership required (WMCA has 1,400+ members)
• Wisconsin Municipal Clerk or equivalent professional
• Record of civic contribution and service excellence

Selection Criteria

• Peer recognition and validation
• Sustained contribution over a period of time
• Impact on profession at local, state, and/or national levels
• Generosity in giving back to colleagues and communities
