Leslie S. Parker Memorial Scholarship
Funder: Grand Chapter of Oregon, Order of Eastern Star
Geographic Scope: State of Oregon
Award Type: Scholarship for female college students
Award Amount: Approximately $1,000 per student annually, depending upon Leslie S. Parker investment annual earnings
Award Form: Certificate presented to student; check sent to Financial Aid Officer of respective institution for books, tuition, board and room, clothing, or medical aid
- Female students only
- Enrolled in or applying to accredited non-sectarian colleges and universities within the State of Oregon
- Completed at least two years of satisfactory college work
- Applicant does not need to be a member or related to a member of the Order of Eastern Star

Geographic Scope
- If a recipient fails to enroll or leaves the school before completing the period for which the award is granted, the full amount or unused portion must be returned to the Leslie S. Parker Memorial Scholarship Fund of the Grand Chapter of Oregon

- Current college transcript (unofficial transcript is acceptable)
- Must include the most current completed academic quarter or semester
3. Electronic Signatures

4. Short Answer Essays
- Please use essay format unless otherwise noted
- Questions include:
- Personal Statement Letter (required): Tell us about yourself; Why have you chosen your course of study?; What are your future plans?
- If you were to receive this scholarship, how would it assist you in attaining your goals?
- Have you received any honors and/or awards?
- Are you a member of any school activities, clubs, organizations, or offices?
- Do you belong to or participate in church, community involvement, or social organizational activities? (If so, provide details)
- Work Experience: Name of business/type of work and duration for each entry (may upload resume/CV instead)
- What else should we know about you?
- Are there any extenuating circumstances or hardships we should consider?
5. References
- Must list 2 references
- Reference 1: A teacher/advisor/professor/staff member from current educational institution (or former if transfer student)
- Reference 2: A personal reference who can speak to your journey as a student pursuing higher education
- References must be provided with the submission link and complete forms by April 30, 2026
