- Integrity: Must exude the highest level of integrity and honor for the law enforcement profession
- Criminal Record: Must not have been convicted of a felony
- Partisanship: Must have carried out duties and advocacy for the law enforcement profession in a non-partisan manner during the preceding year
Eligibility Requirements
- Any member of the FLEOA Foundation Board may nominate someone
- Executive Board convenes to identify nominee meeting criteria most closely
- Majority vote of FLEOA Foundation Executive Board required to select awardee
- Award presented annually in March
