Overview

Kodaly Graduate Summer Music Program Scholarship

Application Deadline: May 1 (annually)

Focus: Supporting music educators in Kodaly and Music Education graduate programs

    Eligibility

  • Must be accepted to either the Kodaly Certificate program OR the Master of Music in Music Education: Kodaly Emphasis program
  • Must enroll in no less than six graduate credits that are applicable to program completion in the summer
  • Must have earned at least a 3.0 GPA from undergraduate institution
  • Must demonstrate financial need by completing a FAFSA
  • Must maintain a GPA of no lower than 3.0 at Lakeland University

    Award Details

  • Multiple scholarships awarded each year
  • Awards are renewable automatically each summer as long as eligibility requirements continue to be met
  • Scholarships applied each summer upon registration for applicable credits
  • Prorated scholarship available for students with less than six credits remaining in their fourth summer of Master's program study
  • Students do not need to reapply each summer if continuing to meet eligibility requirements

How to Apply

Application Process

1. Be accepted to either the Kodaly Certificate program or Master of Music in Music Education: Kodaly Emphasis program
2. Complete the FAFSA to demonstrate financial need
3. Register for no less than six graduate credits applicable to program completion
4. Submit scholarship application (details available through admissions office)

    Continuing Awards

  • Students who receive a scholarship do not need to reapply each summer
  • Automatic renewal provided eligibility requirements continue to be met:
  • - Enrollment in no less than 6 applicable graduate credits - Maintained 3.0 GPA at Lakeland University - Continued demonstration of financial need (FAFSA)
