Overview

Tulsa Community Foundation Launched in 1998, Tulsa Community Foundation (TCF) makes a difference every day to serve donors, Tulsa and support communities across the country. We are a partner to thousands of individuals, families, businesses and nonprofit organizations; all working to help us accomplish our charitable purposes.  We are committed to investing in Tulsa and Northeastern Oklahoma working to create a just and vibrant state where all communities and people thrive. Each year, alongside our donors, we make thousands of grants to the nonprofit sector. Jon P Nelson Scholarship A true engineer to the core, Jon graduated from Oklahoma State University in 2012 with a degree in mechanical engineering, and began his career at Williams Companies as a project manager. Jon’s career in the energy industry thrived, as he worked on numerous projects for Williams throughout the country. Jon loved to work with his hands and spent his free time in the shop, often working on his custom jeep. If he was not working on the jeep, he was helping others with their own projects. His passion for helping others was evident amongst his friends, family, and even acquaintances. Jon knew the power of education, and was an advocate for promoting it within the community. Before his untimely death, Jon sat on the board for the Tulsa Chapter of Young Professionals in Energy, where he was working on an initiative with others to promote energy education amongst the youth of Tulsa.
