Overview

Innovation & Collaboration Incubator Grant

Purpose: Foster cross-organizational partnerships to develop innovative, dynamic programs that serve and expand community access across the 7-SCFD county district.

Geographic Scope: Program delivery must take place in one or more of the 7-SCFD Counties: Adams, Arapahoe, Boulder, Broomfield, Denver, Douglas, and Jefferson Counties.

Award Details:

  • Total Grant Budget: $50,000 (FY September 2025 - August 2026)

  • Individual Award Threshold: Up to $10,000

  • Funding Source: Portion of The Collaborative's Unrestricted Assets

  • Number of Projects: To be determined based on scope of submissions

  • Project Completion Deadline: May 2027
  • Eligibility:

  • Applicants: Collaborative member organizations only

  • Membership Tiers: Open to all three paid levels

  • - Full Level
    - Associate Level
    - Cultural Partner Level
  • Collaboration Requirement: Must be member-to-member collaborations; applicants must name at least one or more other Collaborative member organizations

  • Cross-tier Collaboration: Highly recommended

  • Restriction: Organizations that received awards in pilot year 1 are ineligible to apply in year 2
  • Grant Goals:

  • Serve the public in the 7-SCFD counties

  • Encourage membership collaboration and engagement across all member tiers

  • Create learning opportunities for all members through facilitated collaboration sessions with grantees sharing project development process
  • Preference Given To Projects That:

  • Uniquely expand access and serve populations of the SCFD 7-county district

  • Engage in new partnerships or new projects

  • Feature innovative programs

  • Merge different disciplines (e.g., arts and science)

  • Serve historically marginalized communities

  • Collaborate across tiers
  • Grantee Requirements:

  • Share project development process at mid-year and end-of-year presentations/panelist discussions

  • This is a grant from The Collaborative of the SCFD, not the annual SCFD submission process

  • Feedback on proposals will not be given to any application

  • Learning opportunity on May 15, 2026 to hear from 2024/25 Grant Recipients at their final grant report panel about their projects, partnerships, and collaboration process
