Program Overview:
Each year, the Illinois Fraternal Order of Police awards $9,000 in scholarships to college students whose parents are members in good standing of the Illinois Fraternal Order of Police.

Award Structure:

  • Total Funding: $9,000 annually

  • Award Amount: $500 per recipient

  • Number of Awards: One applicant from each of the 18 ILFOP districts will receive $500 towards college expenses (18 awards × $500 = $9,000)

  • Selection Method: Chosen at random
  • Eligibility:

  • Must be a college student

  • Parent(s) must be member(s) in good standing of the Illinois Fraternal Order of Police

    Application Process

    Submission Requirements:
    1. Complete the scholarship application form
    2. Include proof of registration for the upcoming fall semester, which must include ONE of the following:
    - Notice from the registrar
    - Class schedule
    - Tuition payment receipt

    Important Notes:

  • Incomplete applications will not be considered

  • Applications submitted without required accompanying materials will not be considered

  • Applications are due no later than Friday, August 29, 2026
  • Submission Methods:
    1. Print and Mail: Print the application and return to the State Lodge
    2. Email: Submit via email with all required information attached
