Overview

Reimbursable grants for "bid-ready projects" for the stabilization and weatherization of historic buildings. Stabilization and weatherization must meet the Secretary of the Interior's Standards for Rehabilitation. Minimum 20% cash match of Total Project Cost required. A protective covenant (5 or 10 years) with SCDAH required before final reimbursement. Applicants must document minimum 50% of Total Project Costs on hand. No work completed prior to grant funding agreement execution is eligible for reimbursement. Eligible applicants must own historic buildings listed in or individually eligible for the National Register of Historic Places, located in South Carolina. Applicants must be nonprofit organizations, local governments, or Federal/State recognized Native American tribes with tax-exempt status (or local government entity), registered with SC Secretary of State's Charities Division, incorporated and serving the public for at least 5 consecutive years.
