Hightower & Kloos Legacy Fund for International Volunteers
Overview: This endowment fund honors Molly Hightower, Ryan Kloos, and Erin Kloos, whose service and spirit continue to inspire volunteers. The fund was created following the January 12, 2010 Haiti earthquake that killed NPH USA international volunteer Molly Hightower and visitor Ryan Kloos, and injured visitor Rachel Prusynski and NPH USA volunteer Erin Kloos.
Purpose: To memorialize the contributions of Molly Hightower and Erin and Ryan Kloos to the NPH family while ensuring future volunteers can walk in their footsteps and support children and families across NPH programs.
Geographic Scope: Latin America and the Caribbean, particularly NPFS (Nos Petits Freres et Soeurs) in Haiti and other NPH homes

Selection Process:
Background: Each year, dozens of volunteers serve as child caregivers, teachers, health care workers and more at NPH/NPFS homes. They pay their own expenses and work in countries with poor infrastructures, unreliable services, political unrest and widespread poverty.
