Overview
The Grays Harbor Community Foundation offers low-interest loans for graduate school and professional school for all Grays Harbor County graduates. This new program is intended to financially help Grays Harbor graduates who are planning to enter or are currently enrolled in graduate/professional school.- No interest charged while student is enrolled in school
- 2% interest rate on unpaid balance after graduation
- Repayment length determined on total amount of loan
- Renewable: Students can reapply for the loan once per year for two consecutive years
- Successive loans contingent on maintaining minimum 3.0 GPA and fulltime status
Program Details
Loan Features:- Must be a former Grays Harbor High School graduate
- Must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
- Current transcript required as evidence of satisfactory academic standing before each installment
- Must provide proof of enrollment in a graduate, professional or doctoral program (Ph.D., medical, law, veterinary, etc.)
- Must be enrolled in an accredited school at time loan is drawn
- Must have Grays Harbor high school transcript
- Demonstrated financial need
- Must sign promissory note
Eligibility Requirements
- Applications Accepted: May 1 - July 15
- If loans are unfilled, the application remains open
