Funding Source Description
The awarded funds should be used to administer the Senior Farmers Market Program. This would include any costs associated with administering the program such as printing and providing handouts, office supplies and staff time. Federal Regulations: eCFR :: 7 CFR Part 249 -- Senior Farmers' Market Nutrition Program (SFMNP)
Below is the (SFY27) funding allocation by SFMNP/AAA Provider.
These amounts were determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to total caseload in service area, ability to issue all benefits and willingness to take on additional unused benefits from other AAA’s, redemption rates/utilization, and areas with higher number of food insecure seniors.

Restrictions: No equipment purchases.
State Award Notices
A Notice of State Award (NOSA) shall be sent to each successful applicant using the GATA web portal. A Uniform Grant Agreement shall be sent to the Grantee once the awarded entity has signed the NOSA. The NOSA shall include estimated project start date, as well as any programmatic and financial special conditions.
Administrative and National Policy Requirements
Submits the required Title XX Social Services Block Grant (SSBG) data elements to IDoA by the assigned deadline using the required DHS/IDoA templates (i.e., 2026 Dual Participation List, 2026 SFMNP AAA Race Ethnicity Reporting Tool). IDoA will then submit statewide combined reports (i.e., 2026 Dual Participation List, 2026 SFMNP AAA Race Ethnicity Reporting Tool) for all participating AAAs and will provide support documentation of total SSBG expenditures for the reporting period (i.e., July 1, 2026 – September 30, 2026) to IDHS by the assigned deadline.
Reporting
The grantee or AAA shall submit to the Department the following reports using the required DHS/IDoA templates (i.e., 2026 Dual Participation List, 2026 SFMNP AAA Race Ethnicity Reporting Tool). IDoA will then submit statewide combined reports (i.e., 2026 Dual Participation List and 2026 SFMNP AAA Race Ethnicity Reporting Tool) for all participating AAAs and will provide support documentation of total SSBG expenditures for the reporting period (i.e., July 1, 2026 – September 30, 2026) to IDHS by the assigned deadline. Requires 1) Total Expenditures of Program including: SSBG Allocation + Expenditures of all other Federal, State and Local Funds (Non-SSBG funds) if applicable for SFMNP; 2) Total number of individuals, disaggregated by: Adults age 60-64 and Seniors (65 and above); 3) Race and Ethnicity Data: American Indian or Alaska Native; Asian; Black or African American; Hispanic or Latino; Native Hawaiian or Pacific Islander; White; Multiple Race; 4) Unique Identifier for each SFMNP participant ( unique client ID will be created by using the first SFMNP benefit check # issued to each SFMNP beneficiary as their unique identifier; 5) Type of eligible service provided: Health & Wellbeing – Health-Related Services for the season starting July 10, 2026-October 31, 2026.
