Financial Literacy Grants

Overview: Foundation support for financial literacy initiatives. Grants help credit unions throughout Maryland and D.C. develop and implement financial education programs for their members and communities.

  • Assist, advance, and strengthen the financial health of members and communities
  • Address problems and create sustainable solutions
  • Identify populations to be affected
  • Incorporate an evaluation method to demonstrate outcomes
  • Involve other credit unions, agencies, or institutions in collaborative manner (preferred)
  • Demonstrate good stewardship of resources (highest and best use of grant funds)
  • Promote programs that can be replicated
