Facility Grant Program

Program Type: Short-term project funding for facility use

Overview: Facility Grants support short-term projects in all art forms. This program helps support arts activities through use of the Durham Arts Council building.

    Eligibility

  • Applicants: Non-profit organizations, individual artists, and groups of artists
  • Age Requirement: Applicants must be over 18 years of age
  • Not Eligible: Fundraising events cannot receive facility grants

    Eligible Projects

  • Short-term projects in all art forms
  • Arts activities and experiences

    Not Eligible

  • On-going operations
  • Year-round activities
  • Annual events (apply through Season Grant Program instead)
  • Fundraising events
  • Gallery space for exhibits in the building (must apply through annual "Call for Artists")

    Selection Criteria

    DAC evaluates applications based on:
  • Quality of art or arts experience
  • Project Implementation
  • Impact of Grant on the Community
  • Note: Facility Grants are dependent on scheduling restrictions and event compatibility

Application Deadlines and Timeline

#### Submission Deadlines
1. April 15 deadline for activities taking place between July 1 and June 30
2. October 15 deadline for activities taking place between January 1 and June 30
