Annual awards honoring exceptional educators, paraprofessionals, and school-related service providers who demonstrate excellence in supporting students with learning disabilities (LD) and/or attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) in K-12 settings. The program recognizes professionals who build strong relationships with students and families to enhance success.

Award Categories (3 awards total)

1. K-5 Educator Award — $5,000 2. 6-12 Educator Award — $5,000 3. Paraprofessional & Direct-Service Provider Award — $5,000

    Award Criteria

    Winners exemplify excellence in:
  • Personalizing learning for individual student needs
  • Supporting student mental health
  • Celebrating neurodiversity and different learning styles
  • Creating inclusive and welcoming spaces for all learners
  • Believing in the potential of all students
  • Finding creative ways to engage students in learning

    Eligibility

  • Educators (general and special education)
  • Paraprofessionals
  • School-related service providers
  • Must work with students with LD and/or ADHD in K-12 settings

    Recognition

  • Three award winners receive $5,000 each
  • Celebration at NCLD's benefit event on December 5, 2024
  • Spotlighting impactful work and contributions
