Annual awards honoring exceptional educators, paraprofessionals, and school-related service providers who demonstrate excellence in supporting students with learning disabilities (LD) and/or attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) in K-12 settings. The program recognizes professionals who build strong relationships with students and families to enhance success.Award Categories (3 awards total)
1. K-5 Educator Award — $5,000 2. 6-12 Educator Award — $5,000 3. Paraprofessional & Direct-Service Provider Award — $5,000- Personalizing learning for individual student needs
- Supporting student mental health
- Celebrating neurodiversity and different learning styles
- Creating inclusive and welcoming spaces for all learners
- Believing in the potential of all students
- Finding creative ways to engage students in learning
Award Criteria
Winners exemplify excellence in:- Educators (general and special education)
- Paraprofessionals
- School-related service providers
- Must work with students with LD and/or ADHD in K-12 settings
Eligibility
- Three award winners receive $5,000 each
- Celebration at NCLD's benefit event on December 5, 2024
- Spotlighting impactful work and contributions
