Summary

The Ev Clay/PRSA Miami Chapter Scholarships, established in 1985 in memory of public relations pioneer Everett "Ev" Clay, support promising South Florida public relations students based on academic performance and financial need. Up to eight scholarships of $3,750 each are awarded annually to students from Florida International University, Florida Memorial University, Miami Dade College, and the University of Miami. Recipients are selected in August and honored at a dedicated luncheon.

Overview

Ev Clay/ PRSA Miami Chapter Scholarships Established in 1955, public relations pioneer Everett “Ev” Clay was a founding member of the Public Relations Society of America’s Miami (PRSA) chapter. In 1985, PRSA Miami Chapter established an endowed scholarship fund in Ev Clay’s memory to provide assistance to promising South Florida public relations students who demonstrate academic performance, aptitude and financial need. The Community Foundation is honored to administer the Ev Clay Endowed Scholarship. The Ev Clay/PRSA Miami Chapter Endowment Fund will award up to eight $3,750 scholarships for undergraduate or graduate study, selecting up to two students from each of the following South Florida schools: Florida International University, Florida Memorial University, Miami Dade College and the University of Miami. Recipients will be notified in August and scholarships will be presented at the annual Ev Clay/PRSA Miami Chapter Endowment Fund Luncheon this fall.
