E.L.E.V.A.T.E. Award
Overview: The E.L.E.V.A.T.E. Award, sponsored by Raytheon | an RTX Business, recognizes exceptional teachers and education leaders across Pima County who inspire excellence, demonstrate outstanding leadership, and make a lasting impact on their schools and communities. This prestigious education leadership award in Arizona celebrates those who go above and beyond in shaping the future through innovative teaching, mentorship, and community involvement.
E.L.E.V.A.T.E. Stands For:
- Spend the majority (over 50%) of the school day in direct instruction to students
- Currently be certified to teach in Arizona or have PreK (Early Childhood) equivalent credentials
- Have completed at least four (4) full years as a classroom teacher at the time the application is submitted
- Teach any grade or combination of grades PreK (Early Childhood) through 12
- Teach in a school in Pima County, Arizona
- Be a full-time teacher and plan to continue in an active teaching status through the following school year
Eligibility
Nominees must meet the following criteria to be eligible for the E.L.E.V.A.T.E. Award:- Awardees (4): $2,500 gift plus additional $2,500 for their respective districts
- Finalists (8): $500 gift
- Total Recognition: 12 finalists honored at Stand Up 4 Teachers event; 4 awardees announced
Award Details
Prize:- Each teacher must be nominated during the nomination window
- Self-nominations are accepted
- The nominee will be sent an application to submit
- Following the application deadline, a selection committee will review all applications
- Twelve (12) finalists will be honored at Stand Up 4 Teachers
- Four (4) awardees will be announced at the event

How to Apply
Application Process
1. Nomination Phase:
- Nomination deadline: 11:59 PM on Sunday, May 3, 2026
- Community members, students, parents, colleagues, or the teacher themselves can submit a nomination
- Nominations are kept confidential unless indicated on the nomination form
2. Application Phase:
- Once the nomination period ends, all nominated teachers will be informed
- Nominees will be given an E.L.E.V.A.T.E. application to complete
- Application deadline: 11:59 PM on Sunday, July 12, 2026
- Nominees must meet all eligibility qualifications to be considered
3. Selection and Award:
- Selection committee reviews all applications and performs additional qualification inquiries if needed
- 12 finalists are selected and honored at Stand Up 4 Teachers event
- 4 awardees are announced at the event
