Overview: Annual award honoring Advanced Practice Provider (APP) excellence throughout Baptist Memorial Hospitals and Baptist Medical Group. Award recognizes an APP who demonstrates excellence in collaborative care and has made noteworthy contributions to promote patient wellness.

Award Announcement: Winners announced at the APP Conference on September 18, 2026.

Eligibility

Eligible Candidates:

Any Advanced Practice Provider with one or more years of service or affiliation with Baptist Medical Group, Baptist Memorial Hospitals, or Baptist Health Sciences University

Nurse Practitioners (NP)

Certified Nurse Midwives (CNM)

Clinical Nurse Specialists (CNS)

Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNA)

Physician Assistants (PA)

Who Can Submit: Any Baptist team member can submit a nomination

Evaluation Criteria

Nominees will be judged on:

Exceptional clinical knowledge

Exemplary relationships with both patients and team members

Unwavering commitment to high-quality care for all patients

Commitment to the APP profession

Nominees should distinguish themselves through exceptional contribution in one or more of these areas:

Quality or process improvement

Patient care innovation

Trainee teaching

Mentorship

Community service

Team-building

Additional Requirements

Award finalists (one per entity) will require reference letters from two different care team members, such as:

Office manager

Precepting physician

Fellow APP

Letters must demonstrate how the nominee meets the award criteria.
