Overview: An annual award honoring Advanced Practice Provider (APP) excellence throughout Baptist Memorial Hospitals and Baptist Medical Group. The award recognizes an APP who demonstrates excellence in collaborative care and has made noteworthy contributions to promote patient wellness.

Award Announcement: Winners are announced at the APP Conference on September 18.

Eligibility

Any Advanced Practice Provider with one or more years of service or affiliation with:

Baptist Medical Group

Baptist Memorial Hospitals

Baptist Health Sciences University

Eligible professions include:

Nurse Practitioners (NP)

Certified Nurse Midwives (CNM)

Clinical Nurse Specialists (CNS)

Certified Registration Nurse Anesthetists (CRNA)

Physician Assistants (PA)

Who Can Submit a Nomination

Any Baptist team member can submit a nomination using the official form.

Evaluation Criteria

Nominees will be judged on:

Exceptional clinical knowledge

Exemplary relationships with both patients and team members

Unwavering commitment to high-quality care for all patients

Commitment to the APP profession

Nominees should distinguish themselves through exceptional contribution in one or more of the following areas (contributions to multiple areas improve chances):

Quality or process improvement

Patient care innovation

Trainee teaching

Mentorship

Community service

Team-building

Award Finalists

Note: Award finalists (one per entity) will require reference letters from two different care team members (such as an office manager, precepting physician, or fellow APP) demonstrating how the nominee meets the award criteria.
