Anne B. Taliaferro Scholarship In 2002, Mrs. Taliaferro, a former educator and principal in Henrico County, established a scholarship fund to support post-secondary educational scholarships for qualified graduating high school seniors. The purpose of the Fund is to support students who attend First Baptist Church, 2709 Monument Avenue, Richmond, VA 23220, wherever they may choose to attend college, or students from the Richmond area who plan to attend Averett University in Danville, Virginia, Mrs. Taliaferro’s alma mater.

Eligibility

Eligible student must be a graduating high school senior and communing member of First Baptist Church, 2709 Monument Avenue, Richmond, Virginia 23220 OR a graduating high school senior from the Richmond metropolitan area who plans to attend Averett University in Danville, Virginia. Eligible student must demonstrate a commitment to academics and community. Eligible student must be a candidate for high school graduation at the end of the current academic year, and plan to enroll in an accredited 2-year or 4-year college the following academic year
