Adopt A Scholar 2026 ARCOM Recruitment Scholarship

Funder: Arvest Foundation in partnership with Arkansas Colleges of Health Education (ACHE)

Award Amount: $25,000 per year, applied to tuition each academic year

Program Type: Need-based scholarship for incoming students

Geographic Scope

Students from the ACHE service area, which includes: Arkansas, Oklahoma, Texas, Missouri, Louisiana, Mississippi, Kansas, Kentucky, and Tennessee

Eligibility Requirements

• Incoming student enrolling at the Arkansas College of Osteopathic Medicine (ARCOM) in Fall 2026
• Must be from the ACHE service area
• Eligibility includes students who:
- Were born in one of the covered states, OR - Attended school in one of the covered states, OR - Earned an undergraduate degree in one of the covered states
• Must maintain good standing with ARCOM to continue receiving the scholarship

Program Details

• Part of the Adopt A Scholar program, designed to provide financial assistance and personal encouragement to future physicians
• Creates meaningful connections between students and community organizations
• If a recipient is no longer in good standing, the scholarship may be reassigned to another eligible student in a subsequent term

Background

Announced March 30, 2026. Arvest Foundation representatives presented check to ACHE in support of this initiative. The scholarship aims to ease the financial burden for talented individuals as they complete their medical training and prepare to serve in areas where healthcare access is limited.
