William L. Ivey Scholarship

Purpose: Professional development scholarship for Prisma Health Richland campus team members to attend Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI) national or international conferences.

Eligibility:

Prisma Health Richland team members only

Award Details:

Covers conference registration, hotel accommodations, and travel to IHI conferences

Expectation that knowledge gained will be shared with others at Prisma Health

Recipients will present findings to Prisma Health Richland Executive Leadership Team and/or Quality and Patient Safety Committee, Harm Elimination Team, and other appropriate committees

Geographic Scope: Prisma Health Richland campus, South Carolina

Background:
The William L. Ivey endowment was established upon the retirement of William L. Ivey, who served as President and CEO of Richland Memorial Hospital (now Prisma Health Richland) from 1975-1992. The endowment supports educational initiatives that develop solutions to health problems in which South Carolina ranks below national average outcomes. It is now managed by Prisma Health Midlands Foundation.
