WATDA Foundation Scholarship

Funder: The Foundation of the Wisconsin Automobile & Truck Dealers Association (WATDA Foundation)

Mission: The WATDA Foundation is the charitable 501(c)(3) branch of the Wisconsin Automobile & Truck Dealers Association. The Foundation's mission is to recruit future technicians for dealer members and assist them with tuition, Snap-on Tools, and employment assistance for a rewarding career in the transportation industry.

Award Details:

  • Amount: $750 per semester for up to four semesters, totaling up to $3,000

  • Additional Benefit: Possibility of receiving a Snap-on tool set

  • Annual Awards: 70 to 100 scholarships awarded annually

  • Funding Timeline: Scholarships will be awarded in spring and summer of 2026 with funding to begin with the 2026 fall semester

  • Total Historical Impact: Over 2,400 scholarships awarded since program establishment

    • Schools: Students attending Wisconsin Technical Colleges (one of the 16 Wisconsin Technical Colleges)

      Eligible Programs

    • Automotive
    • Auto Collision
    • Diesel
    • Motorcycle
    • Note: FABCO, Ag and Heavy Equipment are not eligible programs

      Eligibility Requirements

    • High school graduates interested in one- or two-year programs
    • Current technical college students in the first year of a two-year program
    • Currently working or committed to work in a member dealership
    • Have a valid driver's license with a good driving record
    • Must be full-time students attending a Wisconsin Technical College
