Overview
TCBF Law School Scholarship
Funder: Tulsa County Bar Foundation Inc
Award Amount: Up to $2,500 per individual per year
Target Population: Law students entering their first year of law school (including part-time students) in the 2026-2027 academic year
- Past or current residency in Tulsa County
- Attendance at Tulsa County schools
- Intention to attend law school in Tulsa County
- Significant business or family connections in Tulsa County
- Some combination of the above
Geographic Scope
Students with "a significant connection" to Tulsa County. The Foundation recognizes that connection may be established through:- Must be an entering first-year law student in the 2026-2027 academic year (students who have completed one or more semesters are ineligible)
- Part-time law students must be starting law school in the 2026-2027 academic year
- Must have achieved undergraduate grades in the top 50% of undergraduate class
- Must have LSAT scores in the top 50% of the LSAT testing pool
- Must be a U.S. citizen with a significant connection to Tulsa County
- Must have been accepted to and demonstrate plans to enroll in an ABA-accredited law school
- Immediate family members of Foundation Board members or Scholarship Committee members are not eligible

- Extra-curricular record and record of leadership and initiative
- Commitment to the study and practice or teaching of law
- Character
- Work and life experience
Selection Criteria
The Scholarship Committee will consider:- Awards made to first-year students may be renewed in each following year in law school
- Total funding to any student shall not exceed three times the amount of their first scholarship
- Funding distribution must not exceed four years
- Renewal expected if satisfactory academic performance is achieved, student remains eligible, and funding is available
- Recipients must reapply each year
Renewal
- Scholarships are offered and administered without discrimination based on race, ethnicity, religion, national origin, gender, or disability
- Students who leave law school after accepting scholarship funds must return all or a proportional amount of scholarship funds received during that academic year
- Scholarship Committee decisions are final

Required Application Materials
A completed application includes:
1. Completed Application Form - signed and dated by the applicant
2. Federal Income Tax Forms - copies for the applicant's parents
3. Personal Statement
4. Letters of Recommendation - at least two letters from past professors, employers, or long-time acquaintances
5. Undergraduate Transcript - copy of applicant's full transcript
