Safe Housing Grant

Purpose

The Safe Housing grant funds pet programs that allow domestic violence survivors to escape abusive situations with their pets by providing safe housing/boarding for animals while survivors stay in domestic violence shelters.

How to Apply

Safe Housing Grant Application Process

#### Step 1: Request Application Materials

  • Submit an application PDF request form to receive the current application

  • Provide organization details (name, address, contact information, website)

  • Describe the pet program you plan to build (e.g., pet-friendly rooms, kennels, fostering)

  • Indicate which deadline you plan to apply for (March 1, June 1, or September 1)

  • Organizations are exempt from reporting after 4 consecutive years of awards (but optional updates welcomed)
