Overview

Premier Lodge Award

Overview: Annual recognition award for lodges demonstrating excellence across multiple fraternal criteria during the fiscal year (May 1, 2025 through April 30, 2026).

Geographic Scope: Fraternity-wide

Eligibility Requirements: Lodges must meet ALL of the following criteria:

    Membership & Financial Requirements

  • Active Membership: Increase active membership over the fiscal year ending 4/30/2025
  • Charitable Giving: Increase total giving to Moose Charities over fiscal year ending 4/30/2025. Includes:
  • - Youth Awareness donations to Moose Charities - Individual Donor Circle donations to Moose Charities - Lodge per capita contributions to Moose Charities (must equal or exceed fraternity-wide per capita average of $8.69 per member, as established during prior 2 calendar years)
  • Debt Reduction: Indebtedness on monthly Moose International Consolidated Billing Statement must be reduced at least 5% by April 30, 2026 compared to May 2025 statement

    Operational Requirements

  • Heart of the Community Reports: Submit Heart of the Community Reports and receive a grade of "Excellent" or "Superior" on each report
  • Moose of the Year: Submit Moose of the Year nomination form by established deadline
  • Convention Attendance: Lodge must be represented at:
  • - 2025 International Convention - 2025 Association State Annual Convention - 2026 Association Mid-Year Convention (by any lodge member)
  • Endowment Fund: Remit Endowment Fund contributions to Moose Charities in at least 10 months during the year
  • Member Orientation: Hold an Orientation/Lodge enrollment minimum of every two months during the year, starting no later than June
  • Financial Reviews: Conduct Monthly Financial Reviews and Submit Report to Territory Manager at least 10 months of the year
  • IRS Form 990: Submit Current Year IRS form 990 on time (Due September 15, 2025, or file extension March 15, 2026). All previous filings must be current with no loss of tax status

Leadership Awards

When a lodge qualifies for the Premier Lodge Award, both the President and/or Administrator can earn a Leadership Award of 100,000 Moose Rewards points each, if they individually meet additional criteria:

Individual Leadership Award Requirements:

  • Must serve a full term from May 1 through the following April 30

  • Must be an active Chapter/Moose Legion member at the close of their term (April 30)

  • Must sponsor at least three members into The Moose during term of office

  • Must have personally attended all of the following meetings during their year of service (Alternate Delegates qualify for lodge representation but DO NOT qualify for Leadership Award):

  • - Association Annual Convention
    - Association Mid-Year Conference
    - 2025 Moose International Convention
  • Must have successfully completed minimum required training per Training rules and regulations

  • Administrator only: Must reconcile Quickbooks 10 of 12 months (May 1 current year to April 30 closing Moose Year)

  • President only: Must form and conduct monthly Financial Review Committee
  • Important Note: At the discretion of the Chief Compliance Officer, a lodge may be disqualified from earning the Premier Lodge Award or Leadership Award for failing to abide by General Laws.
