Overview
McHenry Award
Purpose: Honor deserving "Ladies of the Household" (Subordinate Temple volunteers) who have contributed significantly to the Daughters of the Nile Foundation.
Background: The award is named after John McHenry, the attorney who worked with the founding committee to create the Foundation as a 501(c)(3). Since his passing in 2018, the award continues to be fully funded annually by the partners of McHenry, Haszard, Roth, Hupp, Burkholder, Blomenberg and Camplin, PC, LLO law firm of Lincoln, Nebraska.
Geographic Scope: Daughters of the Nile organization members
Eligibility:
- Supporting the mission by actively involving in Subordinate Temple fundraising activities for the Convalescent Endowment Fund
- Educating members of Daughters of the Nile or the public about the Foundation's mission and vision
- Initiating philanthropic endeavors that provide for patient needs at Shriners Hospitals for Children® through the Foundation

The nomination process is simple:
1. Submit a letter of nomination to the Foundation
2. In your letter:
- Identify the nominee's qualifications for the McHenry Award
- Explain why you believe she deserves this honor
3. Deadline: May 1, 2026
4. Submit to:
