Lawrence R. DeMarcay, Jr. Distinguished Service Award
Overview: Recognition award for outstanding service to the REALTOR® organization and community.
- Age/Service: Attained age 50 and/or have at least 15 years of service in Louisiana REALTORS®
- License Status: Valid real estate license as a broker or broker-salesperson, currently active in the real estate industry
- Service Requirements: - Outstanding service to REALTOR® organization including leadership positions in local Board and State Association - Recognized as local leader with extraordinary performance of service and involvement in political and/or community activities - Currently active at all levels of the Association
- Not Awarded Posthumously: The Distinguished Service Award will not be awarded posthumously
Eligibility
- Who Can Nominate: Member Boards and elected members of the Louisiana REALTORS® Board of Directors
- Nomination Limit: More than one nominee per Board permitted; Awards & Recognition Team strongly encourages only one nomination per Board per year
- Carry-over: Nominations are not carried over year to year; previous nominees will not be automatically reconsidered
- Confidentiality: All Distinguished Service Award forms kept strictly confidential; all materials submitted become property of Louisiana REALTORS® and will not be returned; materials destroyed after recipients determined
- No Fee: There is no charge or application fee

Application Process
1. Nomination Submission: Submit nomination form by the deadline
2. Local Board President Signature: If nomination is from a local Board, the President of the local Board must sign the nomination form
3. Review: Awards & Recognition Team reviews all submissions and eliminates candidates who do not meet qualifications
4. Selection: Awards & Recognition Team determines recipients
5. Confidentiality: All materials become property of Louisiana REALTORS® and are destroyed after selection
