Program Description:
Offered annually in April in conjunction with National Credit Union Youth Month, this grant supports teachers who are passionate about financial education. Teachers submit proposals describing what they would like to use the grant for and the outcomes they hope to achieve.

Recent Examples of Funded Projects:

Creating classroom store dramatic play centers for hands-on money learning

Student-led fundraisers for local charities

English Language Learner (ELL) financial education activities

Special education financial literacy and money management instruction

Classroom economy systems with student jobs and earnings

Community Choice believes that financial education should start early and evolve as children grow. The foundation is committed to supporting education across Michigan and also hosts reality fairs, makes $100,000 in scholarships available annually, and conducts annual backpack drives.
