    Eligibility Requirements

    Applicants must:
  • Be a rising Junior or Senior (current Sophomore or Junior) at the time of application
  • Be currently enrolled as a full-time student in an accredited college or university located in Texas
  • Be in good standing as a matriculating student
  • Be nominated by an IICF Southeast Division Board member, Associate Board member, or nonprofit partner of the IICF Southeast Division
  • Have interest in pursuing a career in the insurance industry

    Important Notes

  • Nomination-based only: Candidates must be recommended by IICF Southeast Division Board/Associate Board members or nonprofit partners
  • Selection is made by the Boot Strap Scholarship Selection Committee comprising IICF Southeast Division and Associate Board members
  • Fund distribution occurs in summer before the academic semester begins
  • Winners are announced via social media and recognized throughout the fall
