Overview

Auxiliary Scholarship

Overview: Annual scholarship program supporting students pursuing health-related careers in southwest Iowa.

Geographic Scope: Open to residents of Adair, Adams, Clarke, Ringgold, Taylor, and Union counties in Iowa. Greater Regional Health employees and/or their children are eligible. Students attending Southwestern Community College in Creston, Iowa are eligible and encouraged to apply.

Focus Areas: Health-related careers

Eligibility Requirements:

Pursuing a health-related career

Minimum grade point average of 3.0 or higher

Residents of eligible counties OR Greater Regional Health employees/their children OR attending Southwestern Community College

Must submit high school, college, or university transcripts

Must submit two letters of reference (at least one from a teacher or school official, one from community)

Application Content Must Include:

Financial need

School achievement

Community involvement

Service and volunteer activities

Educational and career goals

Scholarship Conditions:

Checks made payable to the accepting college or university

Recipients must submit documentation of course completion by June 30

Students must repay scholarship if they change field of study or do not complete the year's course work

May reapply annually

1. Obtain Application Form: Download the Greater Regional Auxiliary Scholarship form from the website or request one
