THE GEORGIA CHAPTER OF THE AMERICAN ACADEMY OF PEDIATRICS IS A NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION WITH THE FOLLOWING MISSION: A. TO IMPROVE THE HEALTH & WELFARE OF INFANTS, CHILDREN & ADOLESCENTS IN GEORGIA; B. TO STUDY THE SCIENTIFIC, EDUCATIONAL; AND ECONOMIC ASPECTS OF MEDICINE TO SECURE AND MAINTAIN THE HIGHEST STANDARDS OF PEDIATRIC CARE; C. TO UNITE QUALIFIED PEDIATRICIANS OF THE STATE INTO A REPRESENTATIVE ORGANIZATION FOR THE ADVANCEMENT OF THE PRACTICE OF PEDIATRICS; D. TO PROMOTE EXCELLENCE IN PEDIATRIC CARE BY ORGANIZING PROGRAMS OF POST-GRADUATE EDUCATION; AND E. TO FURTHER THE POLICIES AND OBJECTIVES OF THE AMERICAN ACADEMY OF PEDIATRICS AT THE STATE LEVEL.
