Primary Program Areas:
Emergency Shelter: Emergency shelter beds are provided for men, women, and families at several sites throughout Columbus and Franklin County. Shelters provide a safe and dignified environment, with operators connecting people to rapid re-housing services, employment and job training, support services, medical care, and housing resources. In FY2024, 5,388 homeless households (7,142 persons total) received emergency shelter services.
Prevention: Families and individuals facing homelessness are connected to work and job training, tenant education, and relocation services. Households receive temporary utility and rent assistance to retain their housing. In FY2024, 1,175 households received prevention assistance.
Rapid Re-housing: Services provided while individuals are in shelter to help them transition to permanent housing.
Street Outreach: Community-based outreach services.
Permanent Supportive Housing: Long-term housing programs.
Case Management: Support services for individuals and families.
